I am auctioning off my late Grandfather's collection of books. My mom
just passed away, so my brother, sister and I are cleaning out my
mother's basement. In the basement we found a bookshelf packed with my
Grandfather's old books.
I am not a collector and I am not an expert.
From what I have read on the Internet, I think that most of these
books qualify as "fair," with some being in "good" condition.
Some of my Grandfather’s book s are around 50 years old. Some are
newer. There may be small tears; some of the bindings may be close to
brittle. Some pages have yellowed.
I am not auctioning these off to make money. I just want someone to
enjoy these, so I am auctioning them rather than just putting them
into the recycling bin.
Each week or so I plan on auctioning a set. I may include a picture or
pictures of the set. If there is a picture, please look closely for an
idea of condition of the books as I do not want any unhappy winners. E-
mail me with any questions.
Unsold sets will be recycled, not re-listed, so bid if you want to
read these treasured stories.
Again, please ask me any questions and I hope someone will enjoy
reading these books.
