Why would M ever comment on it? An X-man she vaguely knows gets
conked on the head, and says mother or somthing like it while he's out
of it and never follows up on it.

Eh, just say the Marvelverse has some sort of destiny thing happening.

Slightly more likely than a Franco-Algerian women born in Bosnia would be
linked to an Australian aborigine.

You mean that's unusual? Then again, two X-Men turned out to be of
Shi'ar royal blood. *shrug* >> Stay informed about: Who here don't give a damn about X-23? |

We know that. The point was that Gateway and M are both related to
Bishop. This implies that M and Gateway are related. Hence, the
comment made about a Franco-Algerian woman from Bosnia being related
to an Australian aborigine. >> Stay informed about: Who here don't give a damn about X-23? |

They didn't, really. Waaaay back when Lobdell was writing GENERATION X
(#14), there was a scene where Bishop was possessed by Emplate. As
he's coming out of the possession, he sees M with his still blurry
vision, and asks, "Mother?"
M is in no way related to Gateway. Gateway was just an associate of
the St. Croix family. >> Stay informed about: Who here don't give a damn about X-23? |

And Bishop was knocked loopy. I think I mentioned that.

I watched the heshow, but never saw that character. Was she a regular?
Is her episode/s out on DVD? Was she recognizably like the comic
character, or similar only in origin/appearance?

She was in two or three episodes.
She was made by Hydra? Then there was a later story where she was
being hunted by Hydra(?) and Logan tried to help, only to find that it
was a trick on her part to try to take out the leader of Hydra?
It has been a while, and I never saw repeats of Evolution, so
not much really stuck in my mind about any of the episodes.
The comic version looks mostly like her. Except when I first saw
her in Evolution, I thought she was supposed to be a young guy, not
a girl. She has the two claws on the hand, one on the foot design
and the long black hair and all. >> Stay informed about: Who here don't give a damn about X-23? |

The comic and cartoon versions are pretty much identical...except the
comic version is more hard core. It's not surprising that there isn't
much difference between cartoon and comic when the same writer wrote
both...Kyle Yost created her on the cartoon and he's written most of
her comic appearances.
Her cartoon appearances are out on DVD...as all but the last season of
X-Men Evolution have been released on DVD...I can't tell you exactly
which volumes her episodes show up on (although I'm pretty sure one
was in season 2 and the other was in season 3). >> Stay informed about: Who here don't give a damn about X-23? |
