I recall seeing a few brief panels of the fight between Wolverine and
Cyclops in which Logan lost his hand and Scott his eye. If anyone
knows what issued it occurred in, if any, please let me know. TIA

If i remember right, we never actually witnessed the fight. We only read
about referances to the incident. I may be wrong, and if its in any issue,
it would be in X-men chronicles issue# 2..<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

We never saw the fight except in flashback. Even then I'm not sure if there
was a genuine visual flashback or just a lot of references to the event.
Either way, the most likely books to have referred to the event are Weapon X
and Factor X.

There actually was a brief visual. For some reason, I remember it
almost panel for panel. I'm thinking the art was from Terry Dodson,
so it wasn't from Chronicles #2. Dodson did pencil Chronicles #1, but
the events of that issue were way before the showdown. So maybe I'm
confused. Or... ah, wait. It was in one of the Factor X books. I'm
thinking issue 3 or 4, when Jean shows up. There's really not much to
the scene... just Cyclops attacking Jean and Wolverine slashing him
across the face.
And, DAMMIT, why wasn't there a real time meeting between the two of
them over the course of AoA?? X-Men: Omega offered the perfect
opportunity, but Havok took out Cyke and Jean just seconds before
Logan came onto the scene. (I'm still bothered by the error of Havok
being able to kill Cyclops with his powers...).
Umm so anyway, sorry for hijacking your post Smile

Rumour is that there was supposed to a gun there, but it got covered due to some
anit-violence thingy mentality.

Allegedly, they caught the error just before it was being printed and tried
fixing it, but something happened and it didn't get fixed.

Heh, yeah I heard about this one. There was a rumor that they tried
to superimpose a gun of some sort over Havok's hands in the proof, but
it... fell off before the page hit the printer. Never mind the fact
that the alleged gun needed to be extremely wide to cover his hands
and it clearly discharged Havok's energy signature. Smile Was that
story ever confirmed? If so, I hope an editor just looked at it and
said, "This looks like shit; leave it the way it was." Give 'em
points for playing, I guess.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
