Oh yeah! I kind of disturbed the other people at the coffee shop when I saw
that.

But the NERVE of those reporters asking Kitty about her pet bat. Bat?! BAT?!

BAT?!

I detected a bit of sexual undertone in the question, too, which makes it
worse.

Still, it was great to see Lockheed again. It'll be interesting to see what
his story is.

Whedon really is going full-scale nostalgia on us. He really is writing for
the hardcore X-fan, which is great to see. I can't wait to see what's next.

Hopefully, this mutant cure will revert Beast back to his previous form so
that we can be done with this one.

Oh, I don't know. Kitty could sure do worse than Lockheed... and has, at least
twice. Razz

Perhaps. But I appreciate that non-hardcore X-fans can enjoy it as well.
(Although I did have trouble with the Kitty sequence in #1.)

I hope not -- I love the visual, especially when Cassaday does it.
Gorgeous.

Would that be the 'classic' blue furred version?<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Yes. The form he was in during his stint with the Avengers. Everyone seems
to draw that version just fine (John Byrne and Jim Lee especially).

I just don't want to see Hank in human form again. When X-Factor was first
launced, that was the form he had and it looked stupid.

Ah, cool. I liked that version.

Well, issue 3 IIRC. The first major storyline involved him being kidnapped,
returned to "normal" human form and introduced Artie.

Wonder if they'll pull a similar stunt with issue 3 of AMX.
