It is difficult for an unknown author to get pre-publication reviews
for a novel, but once it is in print there are many more
post-publication reviewers to approach and it is usually possible to
obtain several. However, since the book has been printed, it does not
contain a first page often entitled "Acclaim for TITLE" with snippets
of reviews. My question is, subject to permission from your publisher,
is it legal to print that page and stick it in yourself for copies
that you sell yourself (e.g. on consignment)? In my case, I have paper
which matches the cream used by Lightning Source and it is hard to
tell that the page has been inserted.
