I've used Hotmail as my primary email for many year. A few months
ago, I think it was, there may have been an automatic change to the
website, but all of a sudden, it has begun to freeze up on me, and all
I can do is an alt-control-delete.
Well, I can use my ISPs (Telnor - Prodigy.net.mx) email account on
Outlook Expres, but it's such a pain changing over.
Any ideas about Hotmail? You can't contact them; I've sent a hundred
"reports" (alt -con.-del.). Nothing ever happens.
By the way, I really have trouble following conversations, because the
threads become too long. I'd like to join in!
Don't you think that's a bit "anti-social"?
Special regards to Gayle and Sue!

I don't use hotmail, but I do use, and like, aim.com/mail, if that helps.
It's free and can be configured to run in your mail reader (like Outlook).
Is it possible it's your firewall or something on YOUR end, not theirs?
Sorry I can't help more.

Thanks! I could use Yahoo or Juno; I have accounts with both, but
it's just a pain chainging over.
And I guess if I do change, I'll use Tenor's ISP email service through
Outlook Express.

I guess you've done all of the obvious computer stuff like Disk cleanup and
Defrag. Hotmail did have an upgrade but I think you had to sign on for it
but I'm not sure. I have a hotmail account but I seldom use it.

Not on purpose. Sorry about that. I'm using one of my OE accounts for
newsgroups now and it seems to keep track of the threads pretty well. What
are you using to read with?

Hard to see for this old man.
I have Noworyta news reader, too, and I could possible switch to that
for Usenet. I think the configuration is clearer that Forte.

I've had a Netscape e-mail address for over 10 years now. AOL
recently shut down the severs & moved it to the AIM interface which is
slower, and takes more clicks to use.

Mailwasher lets me monitor a bunch of email accounts on a timed
basis, filter with a whitelist, and even bounce spam back to those who
keep sending it. I am using an older version that was free.
I use the Zone Alarm firewall, but not the entire package.

Not in my budget. I found a chunk of tire tread missing last night.
and it cost me $90 for a new tire today. That's almost 10% of the money
for the whole month.

Oooooooooh, that reminds me when I was in San Diego a few months ago.
I was looking for a parking spot and noticed the last one next to the
curb was available, so I swung in only to be greeted with an open car
door swung open as wide as possible with a woman sitting behind the
steering wheel reading something!
I swerved to the left and crashed into the curb. It gouged my tire,
but so far it's been fine.
'Course, it wasn't her fault, although I think nothing less than a
public flogging would satisfy my desire for justice.

You should have asked her. I'll bet that she would have been more
than happy to flog you anywhere you wanted, as long as the price was
right.
