This has always bugged me and I remembered it recently when I was
reading the last Age of Apocalypse trade. In X-Men Omega, Havok
blasts Cyclops and apparently kills him...how can he do that when
their powers don't hurt each other? Someone told me that the Beast
experimented on Havok and changed him but that doesn't make sense
because, in Factor X #4, the brothers fight and their powers don't
hurt each other and yet, one issue later, they can kill each other?

Oh, and, on a side note, is there anyone out there who didn't think
the recent Return to the Age of Apocalypse mini was absolutely
terrible?

I prefer to remember that scene as it was intended to be printed: with
Havok shooting Cyclops with a gun. At the time, the editors reported
that the wrong scene accidentally got printed, yet with the intended
"BLAM!" sound effect.

Didn't even bother buying it.

Yeah, iirc it was intended to be Havok shooting Cyclops, it got caught,
a new scene and new sound effect got drawn but when it came time to put
it together the original scene and new sound effect is what got used.

Fallen.

See, now that would have made sense...I never heard this before...of
course, there is still that whole bit with Cyclops getting so pissed
off that he blasts his own visor into pieces but no beam comes out
afterward...it's a cool visual but makes no sense at all.

Like why Wolverine never re-grew his hand? I haven't read it in a long
time, but I don't remember much of a reason given.

I remember reading the Havok/Cyclops scene when if first came out, and just
thought Havoks blast must have picked up gravel or ground debre that was
thrown like shrapnel.

There was no need for a reason back then, because Wolverine's powers were
still within the bounds of sanity. It was assumed at the time (by me and
most of the other fans I knew) that he couldn't regenerate missing limbs or
extremities.

It's not under conscious control anyway.

It wasn't just assumed. OHOTMU stated he couldn't regenerate missing
limbs. And if Wolverine could regenerate his body from bones, wouldn't
it stand to reason that the Wolverine skeleton in Belasco's Limbo would
have regenerated, too?

I haven't seen the issue in question, but for a fanwank, no-prize-ish
answer adamantium rib cage protected enough of his internal organs to
keep his heeling factor going. And considering his bones weren't blown
apart, which is what happened with his hand, the regrown flesh had
something to conform to.
