I just airmailed a book to Wales on Monday from the Midwestern US, it's
already arrived. Most airmail packages are prompt going to the UK. However
last year I sent a book by air around the first of December and it didn't
arrive for two months. I refunded my customer but she was kind enough to
pay a second time for the book (with a minor deduction for her trouble) via
Paypal.
