Sure, clean pigeons compares well to other game birds and I've
tasted quite a few. Various species of Pigeons are raised for eggs
and occasional meat consumption in South East Asia and are considered
delicacies like quails in Western countries. There used to be a
well-known cafe in old Saigon which serves just one dish: Mi Bo Cau,
or Noodles with Pigeons. It is a variant on the Chinese egg noodle
with broth dish with pieces roast duck or soy chicken.

I haven't eaten rats yet, but have heard from friends who lived
in the country that field mice aren't bad...they taste like (yes, of
course!) chicken.

The laughs on you, you dribbling retard!
Everybody except you I imagine, would have recognised
the irony in those remarks.
Why don't you just stick to the children's books you're
apparenly so fond of, which appear to be pitched more at
your intellectual level? And just leave the more complicated
stuff to the grown ups?
Do you know what numbskull? Its only when you actally come on

stupid people there are, walking about in the world.
Well congratulations bonehead, you go straight in at

Mr Armstrong, might I ask you to consider the following -
a) In the post you just quoted I was explaining to Mr Finnan
that the remarks in my original post were intended be ironical.
b) However, given that Mr Finnon's unsolicited response to my
original remarks was that "I had a stick up arse" I feel it
reasonable to conclude at that point, that Mr Finnon indeed
has no sense of irony.
c) So that in responsing to Mr Finnon's totally unsolicited remark
that "I had a stick up my arse" it would clearly be
counter-productive
to even attempt to engage irony for that purpose, as this would
clealy
be beyond Finnon's comprehension.
Now is there anything in those three sentences that you wish to take
exception to, or would choose to disagree with ?
And if not, then are we both agreed that it would indeed have been
foolish thing to do, to attempt engage irony in response to Mr Finnon's
post.
Which is why I would be most grateful, if you would explain your
final remark -
> Ah yes, irony.
in response to a paragraph in my post.
Because the only possible conclusion any reasonable person could be
expected to draw from that remark, I would suggest, is that you yourself
expected that paragraph to be ironical, and that you were making a
pointed
reference to the fact that it claerly wasn't.
None of likes to be made to look foolish in a public forum, now do
we, Mr Armstrong?
Either by being portrayed as having a "stick up our arse" by the likes
of Mr Finnon, or of being shown up as being totally incapable of
defending the things we say.
Anyway, thank you for your decision to participate in this thread
Mr Armstong, and I await your answers to my questions with interest.
Unless of course, as seems rather more likely, you'd simply prefer
to run away.

a bag, tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag. Do you think they were fattening

It would prove to the world that you're not simply some pompous
smart-arse who can't even when challenged, actually defend his -
supposedly clever interjections at my expense.
It would prove to the world that you're big enough to admit it,
when you know that you've made a mistake.
Or maybe you would simply find that too damaging?
Otherwise who's really to know Mr Armstrong?
Are you simply just a stupid smart-arse whose been caught out?
Or in addition are you a snivelling coward who simply too scared
to admit it ?

Many Carp Fishing Books, especially the modern limited print runs, are highly
sought after in the UK but I prefer to keep such things quiet as it cuts down
on the competition!!
