We recently published a book for our business and I've tried to add it
to Amazon Advantage. I didn't seem to be getting anywhere with addng
the title so I asked them what was going on via an email and got the
following reply "Due to a technical issue, we are experiencing
difficulty processing some Advantage applications appropriately. Our
engineers are currently engaged in resolving this matter, however, we
are unable to provide a date for when this will be fixed."

Does anyone know what is going on here?

I've used the Amazon Advantage program since March but didn't have those
difficulties during startup. It's something new. Everything seems to
be working okay for me, so it evidently is just a problem with "some"
new applications.

They could just be busy doing a redesign of pages. There have been
changes lately to the format of the pages. And there are a lot of
automated things involved in the way the pages operate.

I'll second what Ed said. I've been in the Advantage program for almost
a year and haven't encountered any problems, so it must be specific to
new applications.

I just wish Advantage would place orders of a more consistent size
instead of nickle-and-diming me with orders: first 2 copies, then a
week later 4, then nothing for a month and suddenly 8 and 1 in the same
week. The actual sales through Amazon have been pretty consistent at
about 5-8 copies per month (fortunately, that's a tiny fraction of what
I actually sell!).
