September, 1909 (same month as the first). Illustrated with a
tissue-protected colour frontis by George Gibbs. Tan cloth, with a paste-on
colour illustration (also by Gibbs) on the cover, printed in gilt on cover
and spine. viii, 367 pp., plus 8 (4 + 4) pp. of publisher's ads. Moderate
wear with some fraying at the corners and spine ends. Covers slightly
soiled, slight spine lean, corners moderately bumped. Small ding on the
lower edge of the front cover. Ink gift inscription (Xmas 1909) and one
other ink name on the front free endpaper. Frontis loosening but still
attached. Very good, without a dust jacket. $300.00 U.S.
