While I haven't listened to any of Anne Rice's books yet, I have to
agree that this can really add a new dimension to the book.
When I read a book, I conceptualize the words. I mean, I don't hear
them in my head. So there are no accents or inflections, other than my
own. It can make a world of difference when the characters from abroad
suddenly have appropriate accents, etc.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
