They say that they named it 'Advanced Simulation In MOvement' or something
similar, but that just sounds contrived.

I'm guessing that they had to avoid an exact duplication for trademark
purposes. Someone else suggested the Asimov estate might sue, but that seems
less likely (I could be wrong).
