Archived from groups: alt>books>isaac-asimov (more info?)

Hi -
on several quote collection websites, they have Asimov as saying, "If I had
only six minutes to live, I'd type faster!" or something along those lines.
However, I remember the quote as being a response to a question, possibly
from Jane Pauley on the Today Show, about what he'd do if he had only six
months to live. His answer: "Type Faster!" Can anyone point out to me
where he mentions this in any of his own works, please?

He mentions it in a number of places. I think he tells the story in
I. Asimov, and again in Asimov Laughs Again. It is indeed "six months,"
not "six minutes," and the interviewer was, I believe, Barbara Walters.

It's on page 706 of IN JOY STILL FELT. hardcover book club edition. He's on
the Today Show with Barbara Walters.
