Have a friend who had a favorite Asimov book when she was a child. I
would like to get her a copy but don't know the title. It involves
two kingdoms. Apparently the guy comes to her realm, says he'll see
her in a few days then departs for his realm where time moves much
more slowly. He comes back to her years later and whisks her back to
his kingdom full of unicorns and the like. Can anyone help me with
the title?

Thanks!

Somehow I have never pictured Asimov and Unicorns appearing in the
same sentence.

THAT does not sound like an Asimov.

Neither have I.

The only thing that makes even remote sense as far as being close to what is
describes is *maybe* The End of Eternity.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

He wrote an essay on unicorns. It's in _Magic_. I think he also
referred to them in _Asimov's Guide to the Bible_. I don't think he
used them in any of his fiction, though.

Doesn't sound like to me, either, except that I never really got
into his children's and fantasy stories, so if something like this were
in one of the Norby or the Azazel tales I'd never know. (Even then, it
doesn't sound like it fits either of those series.)

rec.arts.sf.written would be the best place to ask, though; it's
almost certain someone there knows the book in question.

Unicorns never trotted the kettleways of Eternity.
