Wyatt Ehrenfels traveled to North Jersey, where he was interviewed by
Communications Commissioner for Oakland, NJ, Al DiGiacomo. Ehrenfels
was asked to appear on two episodes of a cable access program,
Alternatives. The first of the two segments addressed his cancer
psychology dream research, while the second addressed Ehrenfels's
critique of psychology and his book, Fireflies in the Shadow of the
Sun. Other topics included Wyatt's critique of knowledge production in
Psychology, adverse impact for dream researchers, the "Shadow DSM,"
and efforts by psych profs to keep Ehrenfels from reaching their
students. In addition to numerous state politicians, other noted
guests on DiGiacomo's program included consumer advocate and Green
Party Presidential candidate Ralph Nader, John Hagelin, Natural Law
Party candidate, actress Rita Moreno, and researcher Robert Cohen.
For those of you in the viewing area, details will be made available
as soon as they appear on the OK-TV web site (details will be
available on the news page of fireflySun.com). The interviews are
expected to premier in May or June and be re-broadcast four times.
With the consent of OK-TV, public access television serving the
Borough of Manhattan (New York) contacted Ehrenfels for a copy of the
tape to re-broadcast the interviews. The interview is expected to open
doors for the psychology critic, who was authorized with the blessing
of OKTV to distribute the tape to distributors of public access
television across the country.
