That is not mentioned in any KS book, and it would be somewhat out of
character for Kzinti. Kzinti like to kill prey with their claws or a
knife, up close and personal. Killing a giant worm with an anti-tank
missile is not much of an excitement for them.

Shmoos are more like domesticated animals. Hunting Bandersnatchi
is less like hunting and more like dueling. In real hunts, the number
of casualties is negligible, and the animals are harder to find.

Bandersnatchi do not taste like what you want to eat and you don't
change into o bandersnatch if you eat some. The Thrint did eat them, but
I would suspect that eating them was suspended when they were found to
be sapient.

Hmmm, encouraging kzinti to hunt Bandersnatchi with knives and
claws might be a good way to get to kzinti population control

And that they were originally bred to be food animals, waaaaay back when.
(It was the tnuctipun who also made them intelligent and got them to spy,
if I remember right.) Plus their skeletons made impressive trophies/building
materials - wasn't it that one hunter guy Beowulf interacted with who had
part of one?

The tanks' equipment is restricted such that the Bandersnatchi win 40%
of the duels. That ought to be exciting enough for a Kzinti!
