Archived from groups: rec>arts>books>childrens (more info?)

Aka Thomas Barry Wilkinson & Barry Thomas Wilkinson, he also worked
for the TV series "Jackanory." (I assume he wasn't the same Barry
Wilkinson who worked in the art department for the "Harry Potter"
movies - at least, the IMDb says they are two different men.)

He was a medical social worker and art teacher.

His self-illustrated writings are:
The Diverting Adventures of Tom Thumb, 1967
Jonathan Just, 1971
What Can You Do with a Dithery-Doo? 1971

Authors whose books he's illustrated included, in chronological order,
Charles Perrault, Joseph Jacobs, Charles Dickens, Aidan Chambers,
Robert Louis Stevenson, Ursula Moray Williams, and Catherine Storr.

He illustrated 12 Paddington books.

"Teaching only helped to frustrate my creative impulses, but it WAS a
help to mix with young people."

any more details about when he died)
