I'm not sure where I first heard about it (googling around it, might be
from Winch), so forgive me if I'm repeating, but not too long ago I
found this:

http://www.bathsheba.com/crystal/starmap/

On a whim, I bought one, and it's really quite impressive. They have a
bunch of other mathematical/technical sculptures as well, ranging from
models of galaxies, to mathematical structures, to models of complex
molecules. It's not cheap, but it's worth checking out.

(I have no interest in the company other than as a satisfied customer.)

Yes, I got one for my brother, it's pretty cool. I have the galaxy
one, my dad has the buckyball.
