Chapter 7, "Mainly About Dwarfs". King Tirian shows the Dwarfs that they
have been fooled by a fake Aslan. Most of the Dwarfs decide that they
don't want anything more to do with Aslan or Narnian Kings. They say
"The Dwarfs are for the Dwarfs". IMHO, Tirian should try saying "Fine,
we will grant you Dwarfs your independence if you will help us defeat
the Calormenes".

Chapter 13, "How The Dwarfs Refused To Be Taken In". King Tirian has
gone through a stable door to find a paradise that's much bigger than
the stable. In there, he found Digory and Polly from The Magician's
Nephew, Peter, Susan, Lucy, Eustace, and Jill. In the Stable Paradise
are also 11 Dwarfs, who can't perceive the paradise. To them, it looks
like an ordinary stable. They can't see anything in that stable because
the stable is enclosed and its night outside. Also, they can only smell
what would be in a stable. This is because those Dwarfs had ceased to
believe in Aslan or anything else, due to having been fooled by the fake
Aslan.

Tirian swung one Dwarf out of the Dwarf circle, but he darted back to
the circle, rubbing his nose as if he had bumped into the stable wall.
What would have happened if Tirian had tried to take a Dwarf outside the
imaginary stable? Would the Dwarf have gotten crushed on the stable
wall?

Aslan conjured a glorious feast for the Dwarfs, but the food tastes like
stable food to the Dwarfs. What would have happened if Aslan had
conjured a bonfire for the Dwarfs with 1) Paradise wood, or 2) Wood from
the Narnia outside the stable. Would the Dwarfs have been able to see
the fire?

In Aslan's paradise, the humans eat very tasty fruit, and Puzzle the
donkey eats very tasty grass. Would the Talking Carnivores that came
through the Stable Door later (in Chapter 14, Night Falls On Narnia) be
able to eat very tasty animals?

Page 82 of large paperback version, page 751 of The Chronicles of
Narnia: All the humans, Talking Beasts, Dwarfs, Satyrs, Fauns, Giants,
Monopods (from The Voyage of the Dawn Treader), and strange unearthly
things from the remote islands or the far West come swarming at the
Stable Door. Even some dead beings (including Jewel the Unicorn, a
Boar, a Bear, Dogs, the Horses killed by the treacherous Dwarfs, Poggin
the Dwarf, Farsight the Eagle, and Roonwit the Centaur, who was reported
dead by Farsight) came. They all looked at Aslan. Some hated Aslan,
swerved to his left, and disappeared into his shadow. Others loved
Aslan and came through the Stable Door into paradise. However, there is
no mention of any of the Walking, Talking Trees (either alive or dead)
of Narnia coming towards the Door. Why no Trees?

You know, there's no such thing as spoilers for 50 year old books.

I'm glad you agree. Yeah, it is common sense that when you go to a
newsgroup devoted to a set of books, that people are going to be discussing
those books in the posts. If you're not ready to discuss them, you
shouldn't be in the group. Imagine going to a Shakespeare group, and having
to put a whole page full of blank lines before you could say...

ISN'T a Shakespeare group, there might have been some people who didn't know
that. Can't be too careful).

As did Orthello, who ran into his sword while trying to kill Iago after Iago
conned him into killing his wife.

I DO NOT agree with you; there certainly can be spoilers for the Narnia
books and for books even older.

2nd to last page of The Last Battle: Our heroes are in the Real Narnia in
Aslan's Paradise, looking at the Real England. They see that England's
version of Professor Digory's country house where the Pevensies first wlaked
into Narnia via the Magic Wardrobe. If Peter et al were to go to the Real
England's country house and walk through the wardrobe, would they enter the
Real Narnia or any type of Narnia?

Is that the alternative line? Then there's Ormacbeth, and Orlivia, of
course...

Wink
