Post subject: Beauty's Trilogy - a question
Archived from groups: alt>books>anne-rice (more info?)

Hello, I apologize if this isn't in line with what's discussed here. But I'm
trying to find out information for a good friend. Has anyone read Beauty's
Punishment? And if so, could you please let me know exactly what the
incident in the last chapter with the orange is? It's a long story to
explain why I'm trying to find out. Razz I have searched absolutely EVERYWHERE
and can not find information regarding this. I would be ever so grateful.

Thank you and apologies if this is out of place

I've read the Beauty Trilogy and to be honest with you I can't remember
anything about an orange....let me go look it up.

OK having browsed the last chapter (Voluptuous Captivity) I find no specific
mention of an Orange, per se. However there is numerous mention of a variety
of fruits, including grapes and melon chunks. If I recall the setup
correctly, Beauty has at this point been kidnapped by the Sultan and she is
at the whim of several people on the boat??? Anyway they have laid her out
on a table and are using her to serve food...use your imagination. Then they
bring in Tristan and he devours the food, and the people in the room are
amused by her and Tristan paying attention to each other....

Hope that helps!

-Amy

Hmmm, I'm told there's something about orange juice and a nun? I dunno. See
I'm trying to find out for a girl I know. A friend mentioned it to her but
never said what exactly and the curiousity is killing her. Me being the nice
guy am trying to find out for her. Her friend said there was no
substitutions for it being an orange.. huh. But thank you, I appreciate it.
