His rodomontade is not true! It is lies! Just because he has posted
an obviously manipulated, protohomian hypocaust about it in YouTube
does not mean it is the truth. Au contraire! This man is an insidious,
cryptophilologian promoter of counterintuitive rumours about Ents,
Stoors and the demonstrably innocent bears around the Crossings of the
Bruinen. I consider it imperative and phthysical on us all to warn the
WWF about him.

Were the bears so innocent, or were they involved in Tolkien's death?
I'm not accusing anyone. I just want to hear both sides of the story. |

You labour under a misapprehension, my friend. Tolkien was ruined because he
was speculating on the stock market when it went bearish. That's all there
is to it - a simple misunderstanding of words.

i think "bears" is a typo for "boars," and that he deserved it for
disrespecting their culture. what a cad. though you may be right about
the stock market thing, in which case tolkien was rightly punished for

He was financially ruined by speculating in Swedish matches. No matchmaker
he, as can be seen by his disastrous decision not to let Aragorn marriage
Éowyn (which was his original intention) and introducing Arwen instead at a
stage of writing the book where there really was not enough place to
introduce her properly.
