In the early nineties I purchased a copy of Bicentennial Man at Gatwick
Airport, I remember it was by Isaac Asimov and also co-authored by another
who I can't remember. Based on the short story, it was a "full novel"
version. The problem is, I can't find a reference to it anywhere. I
purchased the current "The Bicentennial Man" book, but this is a collection
of the short stories - not the one I am after that had a co-author and was
an expanded version of this fascinating tale.

Can anyone help? Has anyone got a copy of this book and might know who the
publisher was and who the co-author was?

Peter

Your difficulty was probably caused by looking for the wrong title for
the novel. The novel was titled _The Positronic Man_, and was written by
Robert Silverberg (with Asimov as originator, consultant, and credited
co-author). The UK hardback was published by Gollancz in 1992; paperback
editions have been published by Pan, Tor, and Bantam.

You may be thinking of The Positronic Man. The Co-author was Robert
Silverberg. Can't tell you who the Australian publisher was but the
hardcover came out in 1993 and the paperback in 1995 according to the list
at <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.asimovonline.com" target="_blank">www.asimovonline.com</a>

Silverberg basically wrote the book as he had done with two other Asimov
stories.
