Scott-Jean-Logan
One of the longest running subplots in X-MEN.
The seed of some of the most memorable storylines in X-Men history.
The impetus for thousands of poorly-written fanfics.
However, this triangle has seen more than a few outside elements enter
it's sphere of influence. And at many different times, one of the
three sides has broken free of the bond and found itself focusing upon
an outside member of the human race.
(Yeah, it's badly written. Oh well.)
Scott and Logan have had their share of admirers. Although they have
strayed from the triangle, their most visible choices in women (and/or
vice versa) have been relatively uniform.
Scott-seemingly cold-hearted telepaths/other Jeans
Logan-Asian women
Jean, OTOH, was depicted as being torn between the two men. Unlike
them, however, one of the two was always available when the other man
wasn't.
(Yeah, it's bad writing. Bear with me)
This state of romantic confusion hasn't detracted any of Jean's many
admirers.
On RACMX, "Everyone falls in love with Jean Grey" is a common cliche.
Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to name as many of Jean's
serious admirers as possible. Remember, flirtations/dalliances are
non admissable.
Scott/Aleytis-(island romance) = NO!
and
Logan/Jessica Drew-(Yes, it happened!) = NO!
then
Jean/Remy-(constant flirtation) NO! <Well, unless you can give a good
example>
My example-Warren Worthington (Angel)
Explicit reason-UXM issue 308?, pre-Scott/Jean wedding
Implied example-the Angel-Wolverine rivalry. As stated in the
pre-wedding issue, Warren would have made a concerted effort to woo
Jean if she had never met Scott. However, Logan's presence (and her
attraction to the feral mutant) can easliy be seen as a combination of
jealousy/protection of his "noble sacrifice".
Snip post as needed. I just want to see some other examples.
