"Blind Shaft"

Folks interested in Orwell's "gonzo"-type journalism --
living poor, visiting dangerous coal mines, and so on --
might be interested in the film, "Blind Shaft," made in
China but apparently available for viewing only in the West.

I've read a description in the magazine *Giant Robot* (site
is <http://www.giantrobot.com/> but I think online material
doesn't include this article) suggesting that the maker of
"Blind Shaft" took considerably greater risks than Orwell
did, spending weeks underground in dangerous conditions and
having to make the film behind the backs of the authorities.
