I would think Louis might have something to say about Merrick's
action, but I don't think it would be necessarily good. Afterall, her
actions to gain his love were self-serving. We don't know what
happened with those two between Merrick and BF, but it is possible
that they went their separate ways after Louis found out what she did
to him.
As far as the other vamps saying anything about Lestat's actions, I'm
not sure it would matter for some reason, it didn't surprise me that
there was nothing. Although, I would have enjoyed an appearance by all
the vampires since this was the last book.

I wished they had remained firmly a part, hee hee.

I don't think it resolves (or absolves) his character of anything he
has done, but it does show that Lestat was growing. After 200+ years
he was coming out of his long vampiric adolesence, and starting to
think and consider before he did things. Had the series remained as
ground breaking as the first few books, it would have been interesting
to see Lestat continue to change, but being that the books had gotten
so awful I'm glad to see that BC was the last. In reflection there
are parts of BC that I liked, but there isn't enough good stuff there
for me to recommended it as a good read. I still haven't gotten over
Lestat's preference for ghetto-speak over his articulate, elegant
usage of the English language.
Take care,
Ashe
