Hey all.

Just saw the movie lastnight in SF -- one of the relatives of someone
involved with the film was there -- vey good stuff.

I am relatively new to Bukowski and wondered if someone could tell me
the name of the poem that Bono read toward the end of the movie and in
which book I might find that poem.

It floored me.

I would really appreciate it.

I'm passing this on to Bukowski expert Renay, I'm sure she can help.
Maybe quote a line or two and she'll get right on it.

The poem, I believe is titled "The Crunch" although I'm not sure what the
source is. I am the composer for the film and wanted to license this reading
for the soundtrack, but was not able to get the rights. I was able to license
readings of an excerpt of "the shoelace" and "consummation of grief" in it's
entirety. The CD also features the following printed poetry: "the bluebird",
"oh,yes" and "roll the dice". It's quite a nice tribute to the man and his
work. For more info, go to www.bukowskiCD.com.

Best,

James Stemple
