Hi Everyone!
I'm a long time fan of Ellen Emerson White. My favorite book of hers has to
be "The Road Home", but I also liked the four prequels, published as the
"Echo Company" books under the name Zack Emerson. I discovered Ms. White
from a rave review in Horn Book about "The Road Home" and was furious that
the prequels, published by a different company, were out of print and almost
impossible to get hold of. This was before the internet made finding OP
books quite a bit easier, but after a year I managed to obtain all the "Echo
Company" books.
I then discovered White's books about a teenage girl, Meg, who is the
daughter of the first woman president of the United States. They were
called "White House Autumn", "The President's Daughter", and "Long Live The
Queen." I loved those too!
I heard a few years ago that a sequel to "Long Live The Queen" was coming
out, but I could never seem to find out any more info. I'm glad to report
that it finally did get published. It's called "Long May She Reign" and it
describes the aftermath of Meg's kidnapping and how she adjusts to her first
year of college--and how her new dorm mates adjust to her. It's very
gripping and a wonderful read.
Just wanted to let any fellow fans out there know about the new book. I had
to order it from B&N. It is published as a trade paperback. I'm so
thrilled!
Best wishes,
Anita
