Book title help request

In 1959 I read a book while in sick quarters at RAF Bridgnorth, and I
would love to acquire a copy.

All I can recall is that it was about the author's rough shooting
experiences. Most of his shooting was done in an area on the Hants/Wilts
borders in UK, in an area of clear fast-flowing streams and water
meadows. Also a similar area on the Sussex coast, possibly either the
Arun or Adur river valley.
