Hi

Can anyone help with this email I received.Any help would be most
appreciated!

Hello-

I'm trying to learn the title and author of a story I have on a cassete tape
recording made by my uncle when I was a child. I only know the plot! I have
asked many librarians and childrens' bookstore employees about it,

The book has at least three characters: a cat, a wizard, and "Heddy." The
star on the wizard's wand is made of gingerbread, and Heddy eats the star on
the wizard's wand, then confesses. The wizard tells Heddy that the eaten
star won't hurt, but it might make Heddy's insides glow "like a glow worm,"
which it ultimately does.

Many Thanks

I guess the most important question is: did the uncle make
up the story, or was he actually reading a book when he
made the recording? When did he make the recording?
Is there any writing on the cassette?

Logically, HOW does Heddy know that his/her insides are
glowing like a glow worm? Does his stomach glow on the
outside like that spot on ET? What/who is Heddy/Hedy/Heady?
