Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone is aware of a good Corso Bio? I'd prefer one
that isn't strictly Critical.
It would be fantastic if Barry Miles would write one! He is a great
author is his own right (no pun), and seems to really understand the
Beats. I guess being a friend and younger contemporary doesn't hurt.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Conrad

No biography has yet been published, although "An Accidental Autobiography:
The Selected Letters of Gregory Corso" edited by Bill Morgan, New
Directions, 2003, gives a valuable insight into his life.

"A Clown In The Grave" by Michael Skau, S. Illinois U. Press is a critical
study of Corso's work, as is "Gregory Corso: Doubting Thomist" from the same
publisher.

"Exiled Angel" by Gregory Stephenson is another study of Corso's work, and
some biographical material can be found in the following collections:

"The Beats: Literary Bohemians in Postwar America" ed. Ann Charters, Corso
section by Marilyn Schwartz.

"The Beats: A Literary Reference" ed. Matt Theado.

"Beat Culture: Lifestyles, Icons, and Impact" ed. William T. Lawlor.

"Whitman's Wild Children" by Neeli Cherkovski.
