I know that this is not about Mr. Feist's books, but I wanted to add to a
earlier question about good books to read. There was an author by the name
of Robert Ruark who wrote several good books. One of his best was named "
The old man and the boy ". It was about a young man and his grandfather, the
grandfather taught him a lot about life through the outdoors and hunting.
Give it a read, I truly believe you won't be disappointed.
And just to make sure Mr. Feist doesn't feel left out, I have read ,
probably in the neighborhood of 1000 or more novels and his books have to be
in the top 5%. I enjoyed every one that he has written, where as most
authors have a few flubs or the series will begin to deteriorate as it
progresses. Please keep up the great work you are doing, your fans really
appreciate it.

Robert C. Ruark and I had the same agent, Hal Matson. Conincidentally,
speaking. His most famous book, Something of Value, is about the
Mau-Mau uprisings in Kenya in the 1950's. Very good writer.

Thanks for the kind words about the work.

I read Something of value, mistakenly thinking it would be similar to " The
old man and the boy". I was glad I made the "Mistake" While I had always
believed myself to be fairly well informed / read as far as history went, I
had never known about the Mau-Mau uprisings until then The atrocities they
committed were well chronicled in his work and the book went a long way
towards better informing me of an event that I might otherwise have never
known about.
As far as the good words on your writing, I am sure the monetary payments
take care of the bills, but in the world I live in, sometimes a simple
thanks for the good work is worth even more than the money. To be able to
bring forth a idea and transform it into a vision that others can share via
the written word is something that I both admire and , thanks to you ( and
many other excellent writers ) get to enjoy as often as my wallet allows. I
look forward to your coming works.
