Is anyone familiar with a set of books called the "Bookshelf for Boys and
Girls", published by The University Society, New York, 1969? There are 10
volumes total and I have all but #9: Great Events and Famous People and my
copy of #1: Nursery Favorites Old and New is in horrible shape. I've been
looking everywhere for those two volumes, but can't seem to find anybody
selling the individual volumes. I don't want to buy a whole new set. I've
even put in a request at a used bookstore in my town, but that was at least
a year ago. If anybody has any info it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Alyson

There are several reasonably priced copies of each on ABE,

I am familiar with that set, I have had it since I was a little girl, I have the whole set, it has been up in my son's closet shelf since he was a baby, he is thirteen now, I have never taken down a volume up until now, of course the first one I took down was the, Nursery Favorites Old and New.. Volume one... I remember that was my favorite when I was a little girl, I am almost 40 now, and cannot believe how good of shape these books are in, can you please tell me if the whole set is worth anything, Don't know if I am willing to part, just curious... Thank you for your time,
Melissa
