Post subject: FS Braniff CEO Lawrence Book with Inscription and Letter eBay Item #4568701669
Archived from groups: rec>collecting>books (more info?)

I have discovered a book previously owned by Harding Lawrence. It is
Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich. It was given to Harding Lawrence
by a man named John Force. It is inscribed to him and there is a
letter to him from Force stating that he thinks the book is excellent
and that all traffic men should read it, and that he hopes that Harding
gets rich. The letter, interestingly, is written on the back of a bill
of sale for an aircraft. I have scans of the book and the inscription
and the letter. I placed the book for sale on eBay before I knew who
Harding Lawrence was. There are still several days left to the
auction, however, and I wanted to give the anyone interested in Braniff
history an opportunity to purchase it. Please do go by
http://www.ebay.com if this is of interest to you. I have been selling
these books that I find at estate sales to make a little extra money
for my family, but I also have a strong interest in their preservation.
The bidding is still low and I think that anyone interested in Braniff
and airline history could probably get this item for a good price.

Thank you for your attention.
