Post subject: Build Your Own Jet Engine
Archived from groups: alt>books>technical (more info?)

This is a simplified Jet Engine that was designed to be used to power
a wide variety of projects. It is a simple design which is easy to
build, with no welding or special tools required. It has just a few
parts, that are all available at the local hardware store or building
supply. It can easily be scaled up or down to suit your power
requirements. It starts with a push of a button, no injection of
compressed air is needed. It has a smooth throttle action from idle to
maximum thrust, efficient operation, being capable of developing
static thrust under stationary conditions, and also has economical
fuel consumption at varying speeds and altitudes. As a power plant the
Round Jet Engine provides for rugged, economical and reliable
operation, as no moving parts are required.
