Post subject: Bukowski compared to Baudelaire

| I just read a novel where Bukowski is the Charles B. of the 20th Century and
Baudelaire is the Charles B. of the 19th century. This was well explained
and seems to be a pretty good hypothesis and there is a lot of pages
concerning Bukowski. I know Baudelaire, where is a good place to start with
one, the best book of poetry of Bukowski, and two the best book of Fiction?
I've not read anything by him yet.

it's all the same
don't recall Baudelaire being any different
try The Rossetti Wombat, or Visit Andernachian Gates

Name of writer, title of book?
Not a good premise, different social backgrounds, different

(it's just a drunken scene actually-but it works and is elaborated on nicely
with a comparison to the let's get drunk poem by Baudelaire and Buk's
stuff-- I don't have it anymore but it's got a title called Charles B. about
a 2/3s through about these to writers)

most folks I've met like post office the most out of his novels... but
I sorta lean towards the short stories and didn't much enjoy ham on
rye,
why not order the poetry book at your local library? it may take em a
while to get it so you could read these in the wait:

John carpenter stuck a porn star in one of his films, seemed to work
