Bukowski was suppose to have listened to classical music all the
time.............. besides drinking and writing. What was this music? Who
were his favorite composers, or what were his favorite pieces?

=====

He liked "THE B" - Beethoven - and some Mahler.

Big One's sardonic "why?" deserves nothing but scorn and contempt.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

..

There's an excellent essay by ROBERT SANDARG about
nearly every classical composer mentioned in Buks books
and in what context they were there (positive, negative,
how often, etc).

The essay has been in the Yearbook of the
Bukowski-Society (in 1998, I guess).
It appeared there in both, German AND English language.

The German version of the text is online at:
http://www.bukowski-gesellschaft.de/21-musicbuk.htm
(goes through several linked pages there).

hope this was helpful to you.

cu,

He also mentions listening to Mozart on the radio while writing.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
