Just to let folks know, one of my dogs went to the vet yesterday,
nothing major, but it involved a complete reorginazation of my day which
means I didn't quite complete my commentary on the already overdue CoTW:
Darkening of Valinor. I'll post it later today.

that the CotW postings should preferably be cross-posted to both RABT
and AFT.

I may have even seen it in this newgroup, but:

If I have seen less far than others, it is by standing in

Far more appropriate, thanks Wink

(and if I haven't seen anything at all, it is because I was standing
there when the giant came to make the footprint . . . )

COTW note - Hi, all: Just took a peep ahead for the next month and Book 4, Chapters 3 ("The Black Gate Is Closed", October 4) and 4 ("Of Herbs and Stewed Rabbit", October 11) are still open. Likely folks are waiting for Frodo and Sam and Gollum...
