Hi,

Do cats need to eat more during winter, even though they're always
inside a heated house ? We always keep dry cat food out, and each cat
gets a quarter can of wet food twice a day (9 am and 5 pm), but both
cats have been really pestering us for extra feedings of wet food for
the last couple of weeks.

Sounds about right - our kitties do the same. I think it's
genetic. It's colder = time to hibernate = time to eat MORE.

Of course, it's always time to eat more to felines anyway. <g>

Now _that_ part sounds right! <BIG SMILE> That certainly sounds like
Alban Quivertail, Resident Cat's attitude towards the subject of feeding
the kitty. He just can't convince us to feed him enough, no matter how
hard he tries. No matter how generous _we_ think we are with his food,
either. <SMILE, chuckle, BIG GRIN>

Oh, and we do have cooler and warmer spells here in Hawai'i, though
they're much milder than those folks farther pole-ward have to deal with.
