My young friend is a location scout by trade, at the moment employed by
the people producing Law & Order: Trial By Jury, the latest in the
franchise, about to premier.
They were shooting on the East Side of Manhattan, around the Astor
Mercantile Library. She saw an interesting house, on East 48th Street I
believe, and summoned the residents to see if they might allow their
home to be used for a scene.
A lady answered the door and my friend made the inquiry. "I'll have to
ask my husband," the woman said.
The woman, who turned out to be Jill Krementz, returned and told my
friend that her husband Kurt Vonnegut would be delighted to lend their

You know, they were supposed to begin airing the show in January but it
hasn't started.
And I'll have to check with my friend to see if they followed through
with a shoot at the Vonnegut house.
