Post subject: Christian humility and healthy pride
Archived from groups: alt>angst, others (more info?)

I have finally understood the meaning of Christian humility. It is
knowledge that you are a sinner, and that you've done things that are
wrong.

Applying the integrative mode of cognition - invented by both Greeks
and Chinese and popularized in the West through Hegel - I recognize
that that has to be balanced against healthy pride. And the healthy
pride is : Confidence in your rightness, in your ideas, your passion,
your intellect, your judgment, that is required to fight what is wrong
in your (or other people's) society and to stand up for other people
who are being brutalized, demoinized, destroyed, subjected to horrible
treatment and to oppression - which standing up of course the love of
neighbor demands.

I find that both true humility and healthy pride are necessary: the
first to fight wrong in oneself; the second to fight wrong in the
wrold. And yet current methods of personality formation attack both at
once. Rather than instilling real humility, the social morrass instead
destroys people's healthy pride, confidence and self-image, while doing
nothing to bring them closer to God and instill real (vz. C.S. Lewis)
humility.

Thus I recommend the antidote to both evils in this (and many other)
societies: Bringing people closer to God and helping them to see the
world through His eyes. From that perspective, the person eventually
becomes able to see his own sins and correct them; and, by being in
touch with and following the greatest force in the universe, he also
develops true confidence. In this is the solution to the twin blight we
see everywhere in America - that of low self-confidence and inability
to see sin - and, manifesting the perfection of God, solves both
problems at once.

Ilya Shambat.

No, that's the AA (among others) interpretation of it. It's wrong, stupid
evil and I suggest you kill yourself, criminal.

You sure didn't respect the rights of the patrons of that library when
you remorselessly tresspassed after being warned and to top it all off
you even masturbated in front of some woman.

Looks like you did nothing to make it up to anyone about that.

Horseshit. It's empty words since you'll still continue being an asshole,
hypocrite and a fucking kook.

Ilya: fuck you and fuck your deity, loon.

Kill yourself, you can solve your own problems and it won't ruin anyone
else's day either. I'll even throw a party.
