Well, it's Christmas Day, and I'd like to wish the very best of the season
to all Villagers - even The ones living in Tar-paper shacks...

The Pirhana in the ford also send their best wishes, and the request that
carollers please take care when crossing their habitat, as they are already
fed up with having their supper sing at them as they are consumed. No More
Carol Singers please.
Au Res.,
Paul

The Miller concurs.

There are some mince pies, with the Handything's well-soused mincemeat,
for anyone who cares to drop by.

Sounds yummy. Due to flu, there was no baking done here, but I have all
the supplies in case anyone hasn't gotten their baking of goodies out of
their system. Or perhaps I can do some later on.

Christmas was declared a terrific one, by the daughter who got only one
thing on her list (and any number of things not on it, but if she had
spotted them I'm sure they would have been) and Santa was very good to
everyone as well.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! to all villagers near and far. And the one in the
tarpaper shack--though how anyone finds the door, buried as the shack is
under that indecently large stack of pressies, I don't know.

Celebrate New Year with mince pies, why not?

The inhabitant probably burrows out one present at a time. If the shack
gets too full, spare items can always go out the window at the back for
sorting later, I'd guess.

Erm, I feel I ought to warn him... Squoire?

The brandy-butter in the big earthenware crock. The way that's made is,
you mix unsalted butter and icing-sugar in a blender, 50/50 mix, and then
add brandy until the mixture won't absorb any more. Then add another few
spoonfuls of icing-sugar for luck, and a bit more brandy. It's quite
powerful, don't operate heavy machinery just after eating it, ok? The
brown ooziness on the top is brandy.

Well, I can't touch it myself at the moment, so I might as well share it
around a bit. It goes well on crackers (no not the sort you pull!) after
the pudding has been finished, too.

And when you have finished the brandy-butter you can keep burst balloons in
the pot.

Well, I also had to accomodate all those geese-a-laying and stuff, so I
hired Ground Zero, put up a giant tent and had the whole shebang there. You
spend a few bob, but at least you're getting something back for it Smile

I may be a day late, but Happy Kwanzaa (et al.) to all. As a special
celebration, I've wired lights to the dovecotes in lots of tasteful
colours and shapes. As a very special celebration, and to make you all
extra happy, I'm not going to turn the lights on.
