You might want to visit Baen's Bar (http://bar.baen.com/ or
http://bar.baen.com:8080/). You will have to register with the Bar and
check out the Honorverse or Buships conferences on the Bar. While David
Weber doesn't visit Baen's Bar as much as he used to, he does visit from
time to time. Of course some of the Bar Flies may know the answers to your
questions and some have passed questions to David Weber himself.

As far as his agenda, I (quite literally) just read this in a SciFi.com
interview.

http://www.scifi.com/sfw/interviews/sfw15625.html

At the end of the article DW states that he's currently working on the
sequel to Armageddon Reef (called "By Schism Rent Asunder"). Then he'll
be working on the sequel to The Shadow of Saganami. If I understood him
right, then the sequel to Crown of Slaves, and THEN the 3rd book in the
"Safehold" series, "By Heresies Distressed".
