Post subject: Is this DT theory new?

One reason some may not like the ending of the Dark Tower. Maybe King did what
he had his character Patrick do....for the concluding pages. No eraser allowed.
And for King himself...no REWRITE allowed? Could it be that King did a rough
first draft and decided to leave it at that ? Not for the whole book, just the
last part.

I think that's very astute. King seems to have developed the habit of
making every mood, ache, or feeling of apathy a pointed feature of
whatever story is affected by them. I can truly see him thinking "Man,
I really don't want to bother revising the whole series, so that the
mess I made makes more sense. I know! I write my laziness into the
story! All fixed!"<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
