Well it is that time of year again and the Mistresses of the Rampant
Lion are preparing the victuals for the event.
Therefore, we would appreciate a count of people planning on attending.
We are going to attempt to have less food this year so that less goes
to waste at the end of the weekend.
Additionally, and most important, we need to know who will be in the
hotel on Thanksgiving Day and would like to share dinner in the Rampant
Lion Pub - since this will include hot items we need a count to have
enough dinner for all!

Well, of course you know that Frank and I will be at Darkover. I expect
that we'll have Thanksgiving Day at his parents' house in PA.

Hi all,
I'm planning to be there. Considering that I just bought expensive,
non-refundable airline tix, I sure hope I can come. However, I could
use some prayers for my mom. She's having an endoscopy/colonoscopy on
Thursday. It seems that she is anemic and they are looking for
internal bleeding. Hopefully even if they do find this internal
bleeding it's a bleeding ulcer and can be treated with medicine.
However, should it be something more serious, God forgbid, and require
surgery or something like that, I obviously won't be able to travel.
So there' s a slim possiblity that I won't be coming to Darkover. The
internist/rheumatologist thinks it's a bleeding ulcer and the
endocrinologist thought it wasn't anything at all. But the oncologist
got concerned over her blood work up. However, she did pass the CA127
(I think that's the name of it) test, which is the cancer blood test,
so I don't think we're looking at anything too awful. But prayers
would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Susan

I'll be arriving Friday -- spending Thanksgiving Day with the in-laws.

If anyone needs a ride from BWI airport Friday (late morning) let me
know!

Thanks for the prayers everyone! My mom is okay! She doesn't have a
bleeding ulcer or any other kind of ulcer. She has some noncancerous
polyps and a hiatal hernia (we already knew about the hernia) and a lot
of acid reflux (we also knew about that and were treating it). We
still don' t know what's causing the anemia but it's not internal
bleeding.
So I can come to Darkover.
Thanks again for the prayers!

Ah, good news, Susan! At least she is basically ok, and that must be a
relief to everyone.

Thank you so much for the update, Susan! Glad you can still make
Darkover, and those goodthoughts are still out there.
