This Vintage Book on the City of Charleston, South Carolina titled,
(Charleston, Historic City of Gardens), by William Oliver Stevens is in
excellent condition. The book is published by Dodd, Mead & Company, New
York, Copyright 1946. The book is 331 pages and is a nice history book of
the city from its origins, early history, the plantations, through the Civil
War Ante Bellum years, and post Civil War, turn of the century years. The
book has over 20 nice illustrations of the city. The book measures 6 inches
x 9 inches. It is in excellent condition with no rips, tears, creases, or
missing pages. There are no stains and no water damage or soiling.
Also included are several older articles on Charleston (dated 1947) and tour
guidebooks from 1967 and 1968.
