HI all!
James E. F. Riley, Sr., playwright, poet and writer ( 'Daydreams &
Nightmares' ISBN: 1-4116-7924-5,
www.lulu.com/content/210331 ) was
hospitalized about a week-and-a-half ago (last Wednesday) with two
ruptured disks in his upper (cervical) spine. The disks were replaced
and surgery appears to have been successful. Recovery is looking
good.
Mr. Riley's work 'Death' was recently featured in a play with Don
Nigro (the most published playwright in North America) in a play
called: 'Tales of Death' performed in Edmonton, Alberta, in Canada. A
critic for the Edmonton Sun called 'Death' "...a profound unravelling
of emotions." This short story is one of many short stories and poems
contained in 'Daydreams & Nightmares.'
Jim's poems, short stories and oppinion pieces have appeared online,
in 'zines and newspapers from Connecticut to California. He is
currently recovering at home with his wife Cristina Islas Cano de
Riley (from Mexico City, D.F.) and three children in West Texas.
