This Book titled, (Cincinnati, A Guide to the Queen City and its Neighbors)
is in its original dust jacket and in excellent condition. It was complied
by workers of the Writers' Program of the Work Projects Administration in
the State of Ohio. It is from the American Guide Series and published by
the Wiesen-Hart Press, Cincinnati, First Printing, Copyright May 1943. The
book is 570 pages and is a historical and guide for visitors to Cincinnati.
The book provides a descriptive tour of the basin, the suburbs, and
neighboring towns and villages. There are nearly one thousand points of
interest identified and described that includes important streets,
anecdotes, legends, and biographical sketches. Featured are important
houses, parks, factories, theaters, beer gardens, historic sites, and more.
The book is full of black and white photographs and city maps. This is a
great reference of the city before major changes after WWII. The book
measures 6 inches x 8 1/2 inches. It is in excellent condition with no
rips, tears, creases, or missing pages. There are no stains and no water
damage or soiling. The dust jacket is in excellent condition with only
minor wear at the edges of the spine area.
