Official Guidebook to the 1934 Worlds Fair in Chicago

2-Days Left on Ebay.......................

This is an original guidebook titled, (Official Guidebook of the Worlds Fair
of 1934, A Century of Progress at Chicago). The book is all complete with
all fold-out maps and in excellent condition. The book is published by, A
Century of Progress, International Exposition, Chicago, Copyright 1934. The
book is 192 pages and is a comprehensive guidebook for visitors for finding
everything in the Exposition and how to make use of the facilities for
comfort and convenience. The guidebook highlights each event and area of
display with a brief write-up of what to expect and see at the site. The
book highlights technology, medicine, religion, world customs, U.S. history,
art, transportation, and more. The fold-out map show the locations of the
different exhibit buildings along Lake Michigan. The book even has the (tear
out) pages for sending a .25c Western Union telegram from the exposition.
The book is softbound and measures 5 ½ inches x 8 ½ inches. It is in
excellent condition with no loose or missing pages, no tears, no soiling or
water damage. It can very easily be handled without concern of damage. This
is a very interesting book that shows what new progress and technology was
considered in 1934. I have listed a similar guidebook for the Chicago Worlds
fair for the year of 1933 (ebay #180100213675)
