If you are a fan of the CSI programs or Forensic Files or other TV
programs about crime detection, or maybe you're a eager reader of
police procedurals and other mystery books, I think you will enjoy
this uncommon book to help you bridge the gap between fiction and
real-life homicide investigation:

Description:
From the author's foreword:
"The information in this book is a product of many year's involvement
in the three major areas of criminal investigation: general
investigation, laboratory investigation and intelligence. During this
time, it became apparent that there was no reference book that dealt
adequately with the many aspects of homicide investigations. The texts
were either oversimplified or highly technical and theoretical.
It was with the idea of striking a middle ground and producing a
handbook to fit the needs of the ordinary police investigator that
this text was developed. These are trying times for the criminal
investigator in general and the homicide investigator in particular.
If this book helps in some way to ease the burden of the individual
investigator, it will have served its purpose."
The book contains 69 figures (b/w photos, drawings, tables), as well
as a glossary and several checklists. None of the photos are gory or
sensational.
I could find very few references to this book, so it is probably out
of print.
Condition:
The book has been well read, but it is still a decent tight copy. It
isn't in collectible condition, however. Page corners are rounded,
there is some soiling and minor staining, the cover has several
creases, small tears, edge-wear, and is well rubbed. A few sentences
have been highlighted in yellow, but there is no other writing or
underlining. This is not an ex-library book and there is no remainder
mark.
All books are securely padded and boxed to protect your purchases,
though often recycled materials will be used. If you prefer, I will be
happy to drop ship your purchase directly to your customer, per your
instructions.
Please make checks or money orders payable to Douglas K. McClure.
I thank you for your business and look forward to your response.
